SDARJ African American Achievement Award at Millsboro Middle School

The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice (SDARJ) recently honored Millsboro Middle School student Ka’Niyah Gordon for her leadership, effort, and excellence. Ka’Niyah was recognized in a ceremony at the school and received a $20 bookstore gift card.
According to teachers and faculty, Ka’Niyah is a delightful student and member of the Millsboro Middle School community. She is polite, kind, inquisitive, and always gives her best effort and more. She excels academically while also managing her responsibilities as captain of the cheerleading team. Ka’Niyah also participates in the Spanish Immersion Program where she has dedicated the last nine years to learning a second language.
SDARJ initiated the African American Achievement award to recognize students who represent the ideals of leadership, improvement, effort, and excellence in their schools. Students from each school in the Cape Henlopen and Indian River School Districts are recognized throughout the school year.
