Candidates for Election to the Board of Directors 2025

Robin Fisher

Robin is presently a Councilperson for the Town of Laurel. She is the longest standing Councilperson, serving for 25 years. She was formerly a Director of the Statewide Foster Grandparent Program, an employee of First State Community Action for 15 years, and directed a Home Health Agency in Sussex and New Castle County overseeing nursing, therapy aides, home health aides, and the contractual supplier for Meals on Wheels in New Castle County.

Robin has been active in community organizations, including:

  • Past Chair of the Governor’s Commission of Volunteerism for the State of Delaware
  • Past Member of Delaware’s Commission for  Women
  • Past National Board Member of The Foster  Grandparent Program Association
  • Volunteer for Delaware’s ElderInfo Program
  • Past Volunteer Trainer for CMS (Center for    Medicaid and Medicare Services)
  • Past member of Delaware’s Arthritis Foundation Board of Directors
  • Delta Sigma Theta National Service Sorority
  • DTER (Dialogue Towards Ending Racism) of SDARJ

Robin’s Father was the first African American Mayor in Sussex County and the second in the State of Delaware, which affords her many political contacts and relationships.  She is a member of Mt. Pisgah A.M.E. Church, where she served as Pianist and Choir Director and has served as Pianist for other churches in the community. She has been a trainer and orator for many organizations.
