The John Dickinson Plantation (JDP) has joined forces with the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice (SDARJ) in a transformative three-year project supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). This initiative, “Addressing the Silences: Museums Reflect, Correct, and Transform to Foster Cohesion,”is dedicated to address gaps in historical narratives and harnessing the unique potential of museums as spaces for thoughtful reflection and powerful catalysts for social change.

During this presentation, the dedicated staff of the John Dickinson Plantation will share valuable insights into the challenges faced, the successes achieved, and the resources developed throughout this significant project. Their collaboration with SDARJ underscores the importance of collective efforts in redefining our understanding of history.
