- Dialogue to End Racism is an eight-week live and online program the gives participants the skills and confidence to challenge racism in a non-combative way in formal and everyday settings.
- The Charlotte King Scholarship Program gives African American high school seniors grants for continuing education and a jump-start on a successful life and career. And to satisfy growing demand, your dues dollars will support more scholarships in more high schools in Southern Delaware.
- Monthly Town Hall Meetings address current issues, challenges and successes in promoting racial justice. And our Monthly Book and Film Club gives members a chance talk about books and films and get new knowledge and insights about racism.
- Black Voices Quarterly Magazine provides knowledge and topics of interest to all communities and addresses the issues and challenges facing African Americans. Black Voices goes out to more than 17,000 Southern Delaware households.
- Ongoing Legislative Advocacy give us a powerful voice in state and local governing bodies, and Partnerships with like-minded groups give us even more power to affect legislative changes and challenge structural and systemic racism.
- Weekly Digests give you up-to-the-minute information about current SDARJ programs, activities, and initiatives. You’ll look forward to this “must read” bulletin each week.
- Academic Achievement Awards are given to African American students who display leadership, effort and/or excellence in school.
- Youth Conversations held at community service agencies provide safe spaces to talk about racial equity and social justice issues. They promote awareness and confidence in community service program activities and outcomes.
- Returning Citizens Support Services help formerly incarcerated citizens get back into society and prepare them to lead full and productive lives. There is also strong advocacy for changes to the prison system to bring about more successful outcomes for returning citizens.
- The Youth Ambassador Program gives high school students a chance to participate in SDARJ activities, like writing for Black Voices, panel discussions, and event volunteering.
- Community Minority and Family Leadership bodies bring SDARJ and local school districts together to develop policies and practices that focus on racial justice, and tackle issues like racial targeting, bullying and inequity to improve the experience for minority students.
