Join us as we discuss the history and the heritage embedded in the celebration.

SDARJ invites you to join us for an engaging presentation and discussion about the Juneteenth holiday. We are delighted that our panelists will include Jane Hovington (community activist and organizer of the 2023 Georgetown Juneteenth celebration) and Trina Brown-Hicks (community activist and organizer of the 2023 Lewes Juneteenth celebration).

This will be an opportunity to learn about the heritage and history represented in this holiday and the importance of commemorating this day. We will also explore options for allies to demonstrate support the African American community on this holiday.
