September 2016 Meeting
How to Avoid a ‘Ferguson’ in the Cape Region
Police Chiefs Discuss Community Relations at SDARJ Panel
Police chiefs from Lewes, Rehoboth, Milton, Georgetown, and State Police Troops 4 and 7 will talk about their positive and pro-active initiatives to build supportive relationships with their respective communities, and how they avoid the kind of tension and violence that have wreaked havoc in many places around the country. The audience is invited to voice their concerns and make recommendations to improve relations between law enforcement and the citizens of Southern Delaware.
The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice usually meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm, at the Trinity Faith Christian Center at 15516 New Road in Lewes. Our regular business meetings are open to the public and feature reports on our legislative, conferences, outreach, inmate re-entry, education and media activities. Come to the meeting to find out how you may want to become involved. Every other month we present a program of interest to the community.
