More than two years after a Black volunteer firefighter was chased with a noose at the Millville Volunteer Fire Company, the case has finally reached its legal conclusion.
A town hall meeting in Lewes, Delaware addressed hate incidents targeting African-Americans in Sussex County. The meeting, hosted by the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice, featured leaders from the Millville Volunteer Fire Company, the Sussex County NAACP, and other organizations. The discussion focused on implementing new policies and training to combat hate incidents and harassment.
The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice (SDARJ) will hold a Town Hall on May 21 at the Lewes Library at 6:00 pm. The purpose of the meeting is to advocate for the cessation of hate incidents and harassment directed towards African Americans in Sussex County.
