10/10/2018 – Education Leaders Discuss Challenges
Sussex County Education Leaders Discuss “Challenges and Successes in Sussex County Schools” Tuesday, October 10 at 7:00 p.m.
The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice welcomed three extraordinary educators from Sussex County schools for our October Town Hall Forum on Tuesday, October 10th at Trinity Faith Christian Center, 15516 New Road in Lewes.
A panel consisting of three district Superintendents, Robert Fulton, Cape Henlopen School District, Stephen Guthrie, Sussex Technical District, and Mark Steele, Indian River School District joined us for an in depth discussion about relevant and current issues such as staff diversity, student achievement gaps, student relationships, disciplinary concerns and initiatives for academic and social growth. They spoke on these and other very important issues and responded to questions from the audience.
“Education is at The heart of the Alliance,” notes our founder Charlotte King.
