SDARJ Condemns Hate Groups and Hopes for Morally-Driven Leadership
The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice (SDARJ) affirms its rejection of racism, anti-Semitism and discrimination. We strongly reject the destructive value systems of white supremacists, neo-Nazis, alt-right and other groups because they lack respect for human equality. The criminal behavior of these hate groups violates not only the rights of all people, but also denies and acts against the core principles of our democracy.
SDARJ is appalled at the events and murderous outcomes that occurred in Charlottesville, Virginia. We are also saddened and angry because our nation lacks morally driven leadership that could confront the racial divide that has existed for centuries. We are fearful for future generations of Americans who are faced with the apparent sanctioned criminal behavior of these dangerous individuals and groups who preach hate and extinction.
We will continue to Educate, Inform and Advocate for Racial Justice so that the nation, its leadership and citizens will support and actively participate in ending this malignancy: racism. We must begin by recognizing its existence and then commit to eradicating it. It is imperative to reject that which shames our country, diminishes our humanity, and, threatens our existence: if not for ourselves, then for our children and for the future of our country.
Join with the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice (sdarj.org) to understand and eliminate racial injustices.
