SDARJ African American Achievement Award at Georgetown Middle School

The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice (SDARJ) recently honored Georgetown Middle School student London Sturgis for her leadership, effort, and excellence. London was recognized in a ceremony at the school and received a $20 bookstore gift card.
According to her teacher, London is a dedicated student, has a strong work ethic and always has a positive attitude. Her commitment to academics and balancing her extracurricular activities is remarkable. She stands out as a three-sport athlete and is a respected leader among her peers.
SDARJ initiated the African American Achievement award to recognize students who represent the ideals of leadership, improvement, effort, and excellence in their schools. Students from each school in the Cape Henlopen and Indian River School Districts are recognized throughout the school year. SDARJ is a nonpartisan organization that educates, informs, and advocates for racial justice, equality, and fair opportunity.
