SDARJ African American Achievement Award at East Millsboro Elementary School
The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice (SDARJ) recently honored East Millsboro Elementary fifth-grader Gavin Harris for his leadership, effort, and excellence. Gavin was recognized in a ceremony at the school and received a $20 bookstore gift card.
Gavin Harris is a standout student who consistently demonstrates kindness, respect, and responsibility. He is attentive and successful in all subjects, works hard, follows directions, and always gives his best effort. Gavin is a supportive friend to others and takes pride in making his teachers and school community proud.
SDARJ initiated the African American Achievement award to recognize students who represent the ideals of leadership, improvement, effort, and excellence in their schools. Students from each school in the Cape Henlopen and Indian River School Districts are recognized throughout the school year.
