SDARJ’s 10th Anniversary: Give the Gift of a Decade Well Spent
Ten years ago, the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice set out with a singular focus: fighting racism, and confronting the ideas and misinformation that fuel it. A decade later, that focus hasn’t wavered — and this year, we’re asking our community to help us celebrate by investing in the next ten years.
A decade of work, made possible by you
Since our founding, SDARJ has distributed 17,500 copies of Black Voices, Delaware’s only in-print Black newsmagazine; hosted free Dialogue Toward Ending Racism seminars; awarded $1,500 Charlotte King Scholarships to local students; convened community town halls and returning citizens support services; and held a monthly Book & Film discussion group open to all.
Nearly all of our programs are free to the public. But free to the public does not mean free to provide. For ten years, this work has been fueled by the generosity of neighbors like you — and as we mark this milestone, we’re asking you to help fuel the next chapter.
Three ways to give for our 10th anniversary:
- Buy tickets or sponsor the 2026 Gala. Join us in celebrating a decade of impact while directly funding the next one.
- Make a donation. Every gift, large or small, is tax-deductible and goes straight toward keeping our programs free and accessible.
- Become a supporting member ($50/year). Members receive a quarterly Black Voices subscription, priority access to Dialogue to End Racism sessions, weekly digests on SDARJ programs and legislative advocacy, invitations to Youth Ambassador and Youth Conversations events, and more.
