Tonight we come together to celebrate Martin Luther Kings Birthday and to celebrate the goals and accomplishments that Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice brings to our community, the state of Delaware and the world. SDARJ’s goals include educating for change through knowledge and understanding of past and current racial issues and conditions.
We start with an opening presentation and move into our live entertainment with Gaye Adegbalola and E’lissa Jones.
Gaye Adegbalola is an American blues singer and guitarist, teacher, lecturer, activist, and photographer. Gaye is a Blues Music Award winner, is a best known musically as a founding member a Saffire- The Uppity Blues Women. (1984-2009) https://adegbalola.com/bio/
E’lissa Jones is a gifted singer, prolific songwriter, violinist, pianist and guitarist. She is an exceptionally talented artist with a wide range whose songs embrace audiences with powerful melodies and expressive lyrics.
