Cynthia Williams and the Praise Choir of Friendship Baptist Church of Lewes is one of the many musical groups who will perform at MLK: From Civil Rights to Black Lives Matter at Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach on Friday, January 12 at 7 PM.
The choir was organized by Rev. Cynthia Daniels-Williams and debuted in 2018 under the leadership of Rev. George H. Edwards, Sr. The group has been singing praises unto God ever since, giving Him all glory, honor, and praise for the opportunity to serve through His ministry.
Other performers include The Reminders, The Camp Rehoboth ALLIANCE singers, Christy Taylor and the Shades of Blue Collective, and Joyful Expressions from Friendship United Methodist Church of Millsboro. The music will be supplemented by a dazzling array of segregation-era pictures from the Lewes Historical Society. Well-known Coast TV personality Paul Williams will emcee the event.
