Black History Month Observation
Our partnership with the League of Women Voters of Sussex County, presenting the Black History Month observation program, “A Feast of African American Creativity: Poetry and Prose On Family, Faith, and Freedom”, was very well received!

The program, of course, was developed by our own Kathleen Baker, chair of our Education Committee, along with the members of her committee.
Poetry readers were Hattie Bull, Alicia Jones, and Jim Sherard, all members of the Education Committee.
There were over 50 people in attendance, many members of SDARJ and LWVSC and others. People were engaged and many questions were asked, spurring lots of conversation.
