No Kings Protest and Rally

The national “No Kings” rally is slated to be one of the largest protests in American History. It is a protest for democracy, freedom of speech, civil rights, and civil liberties.

It will take place on October 18th from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at the Georgetown Circle, which will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

There are many different ways to participate in this National protest. We have sign waves on Route 1 (some 9-11:00), Dogs for Democracy on the Boardwalk (11:00-12:00), and a rally in Georgetown from 1:30-3:30. The main event is the Rally. At this point we are still working on speakers. We have a commitment from AG Jennings.

Please write to cheryl@indivisiblesode.org if you have any ideas for good speakers and have a way to possibly get them to commit. Please contact me beforehand and we can discuss our plans for the afternoon.
We will be collecting food and other items for our less well-off neighbors at the rally in Georgetown. We will try to get a more detailed list to you as soon as possible.

The protest and rally will feature speakers from local organizations in Sussex County.
