SDARJ African American Achievement Award at Howard T. Ennis School
The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice (SDARJ) recently honored Howard T. Ennis School student De’Andre Reed for his leadership, effort, and excellence. De’Andre was recognized in a ceremony at the school and received a $20 bookstore gift card.
According to teachers and faculty, De’Andre is an exceptional role model, known for his positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others. He consistently gives his best effort, excelling in both academic and work settings. De’Andre takes initiative, demonstrates leadership among his peers, and exceeds expectations in the classroom, community, and workplace. His respectful demeanor, politeness, and acts of kindness make him stand out. He is a shining example of professionalism, courtesy, and dedication, embodying the qualities of an outstanding citizen.
SDARJ initiated the African American Achievement award to recognize students who represent the ideals of leadership, improvement, effort, and excellence in their schools. Students from each school in the Cape Henlopen and Indian River School Districts are recognized throughout the school year. SDARJ is a nonpartisan organization that educates, informs, and advocates for racial justice, equality, and fair opportunity.
