Consider joining our team on the Communications and Social Media Committee
Hello. My name is Hope Vella and I have the honor of leading the Communications and Social Media Committee for the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice. As our organization has grown, so has the need for human resources to make the work we conduct in the background.
If you’re trying to discover a place where your interests and skills can be utilized within the SDARJ, please consider joining our team on the Communications and Social Media Committee. We meet virtually every other Friday from 5-6 pm. Time commitments for tasks vary depending on assignments.
We are seeking people who have:
- Written and oral communication skills – communication with the public.
- Email dissemination skills – sorting and distributing incoming emails.
- Social Media-Experience with Zoom, Instagram, Eventbrite- creating, posting, and hosting events.
- Historians– Digitally documenting SDARJ activities. *Digital or phone cameras
- Community event updates – Research and identification of Sussex County community events that align with SDARJ Mission for publication in our weekly digest.
- BLOG or VLOG Creation, Production, and Hosting– Producing monthly presentations (interviews, reports, promotions, etc.).
- Graphics– producing graphics for events and publications. *Experience with CANVA is a plus.
