SDARJ Book Group

Event Details

This month’s selection is Crisis in Black and White, by Charles E. Silberman. It’s a powerful and unsparing analysis of the “the Negro problem” in America, published in 1964. After a few pages you’ll realize that not much has not changed in the way blacks are perceived in American society, and many of the challenges of racial equality still remain today.

The SDARJ Book Group usually meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month, 6:00 – 7:45 p.m. at the Lewes Library, 111 Adams Avenue, Lewes, Delaware 19958. Book group participants choose titles in advance to read and discuss at future monthly meetings.
